I have always loved art of all kinds and feltmaking is my latest endeavour!

I graduated in Fine Art (painting) BA Hons, in 1987  ( I know, that was a long time ago), gained qualified teacher status two years later and have worked as a full-time and now part-time secondary art teacher, in four different schools for the past 25 years.

Over this time, I have taught Fine Art, History of Art , Graphics and Textiles to exam level. I have also taught life-drawing and general art to Adult Education classes.

I was introduced to Feltmaking about six years ago by a colleague and have not looked back since. I have loved experimenting with the various techniques and processes to see what felt is capable of.

What I love about felt is it's seemingly limitless potential as an artistic medium.

I have been encouraged by the positive feedback of family and friends and have enjoyed fulfilling both personal commissions and developing my own ideas through this very versatile medium.

The workshop I teach have also been great fun and a sociable way to spend the day!

I am a member of the International Feltmakers Association, (IFA)
